Deadly Chlorine Gas - From Household Cleaning

Hey so this is more of a serious post about a danger lurking in everyones home. Last night i was cleaning my bathroom bin as it was a bit smelly from having nappies in it. i reached for the Harpic-toilet cleaner and squirted it into the plastic bin. I then thought to myself hmm im not sure if that will destroy all the germs so i found the Domestos- bleach and poured that in to. I'd mix them all the time in the toilet together so i didn't take the warning serious of not mixing them with anything else. i just thought it was like one of them warnings on shampoo if you get it in your eyes see a doctor straight away. so anyway i carried on to clean the bin and put it in the sink under the hot tap. I pulled it away from the tap and i got a whiff off the very potent gas i took a step back and thought wow that was strong the tap was still running so i stepped forward again to pull the bin away and turn the water off and as i did the strongest gas hit me in the back of the throat. i dropped the bin back in the sink and immediately opened the window.

Instantly i started coughing and sneezing, my eyes watered and i began to feel breathless at this point i had phoned my sister to see what i should do or if i could die. She assured me if i was going to die i would have by now, she told me not to google but she knew i would so i checked out, what happens when you mix bleach and toilet cleaner together and i read that it can cause fluid on your lungs and at this point i was already coughing and sneezing and i couldn't get my breathe properly so i rang the out of hours gp and the woman told me to go to a&e straight away if i was having respiratory problems. So my wonderful mother-in-law came to take me up to the hospital by this point my coughing was so raspy and sore. We arrived at a&e and were moved to the see & treat area almost straight away. As i was sitting there unable to get my breathe and frustrated that i kept coughing and it hurt so much i began panicking and and crying. So Sue(mother-in-law) got a nurse and she began to take my obs to take my mind off it and calm me down. Another nurse came to take over the obs and told me my oxygen levels were fine so that was reassuring they then moved me to the a&e's trolley department where i waited about 2 hours to be seen to it felt like 10 while i was hurting so much.

While i was waiting for a doctor they sent me for an x-ray to see if their was any fluid on my lungs. (it looks like a well cool job with all their clever machines). As far as i know that came back fine. The junior Doctor saw me first and said the best treatment was probably a nebuliser to help open up my airways again. So he went away to order that and pain killers and a senior doctor appeared (i say senior none of the doctors i saw in the hospital last night where any older than 30) he decided that the nebuliser would be the best treatment too. While he was examining me he was quite funny he was just saying really casual 'they say you shouldn't mix bleach and toilet cleaner, they make chlorine gas' I'm glad he found the situation funny because any time i laughed it sent me into a coughing fit. After being seen by the doctor the nurse came and put the nebuliser on me which was salbutamol with oxygen.

And gave me my painkillers. The nebuliser worked great i could feel it opening up my lungs i was able to breathe deeper and deeper as the medication hit my lungs. Then all of a sudden i got pins and needles in my hands and my head felt foggy i began panicking and crying again and another junior doctor appeared and explained that the medication can raise your heart rate causing you to panic so once again i was reassured and calmed down to take the rest of the medication. After the salbutamol i felt dizzy and sick like i was going to faint. i didn't feel myself at all and the doctor was talking about keeping me in i really didn't want to stay there over night so i did what she said an lay back let the medication wear off abit and i felt alot better for it. I still didn't feel 100% and probably should of stayed as i nearly fainted when i got home but luckily my amazing mother-in-law stayed the night to make sure i was ok. Im sure that woman was born in heaven!
Anyway this all happened at around 10.30pm i was at the hospital for 11pm and was home by 3.20am. I have 100% learnt my lesson and will never mix bleach and toilet cleaner togeather again. I'm in bed now my chest still hurts like hell. i have a headache and im still a bit wheezy and coughing but i definatly feel alot better than 11pm last night. So thankful it wasn't any worse and that Sue and the doctors were so caring and helpful. NHS (YES)

PLEASE ALWAYS FOLLOW WARNINGS AND NEVER MIX BLEACH AND TOILET CLEANER.

e Precisso Beauty Blending Sponge -Review/Dissapointment?

Ok so a few months ago i bought the e Precisso Beauty Blending Sponge from tk maxx for £4.99 i thought wow that looks pretty close to the beauty blender and people have said such amazing things about it. So i bought it... Gave it a try wasnt greatly impressed with the whole sponge to makeup to face regime but i thought ive paid fo tha shizz ima get my use from it so i tried it a few more times and still wasnt too impressed. So i forgot about it and went back to my brushes and just neglected it completely.
Then today i was like damnnnn my brushes need a wash so i began washing my brushes lalalalalaaaa... I picked up the sponge put some soap on and started to squeeze the soap in and water out... Then whabahm!!

It fecking broke in half like WTAH!! Not only did the washing not make a difference to the sponge it just cracked under the pressure of bring cleansed and broke in half. Id say i was upset if i actually liked it but i do feel as though i was robbed of 5 pounds ill never see again! Anyhoo thats my rant about that over. Heres some pictures of the end result... You get what you pay for.

Leave me a comment if this happened to yours or a similar dupe product type thing youve been dissapointed by.

College Prep- WARNING THIS IS A LALALALALONG POST!

Ok so if you've read my info you'll see that as a career i want to do hairdressing. Last year i applied for the introduction to hairdressing and got knocked back for applying too late so that was a whole year wasted i suppose it gave me more time with the baby though so its not so bad. Anyway i applied again this year like really early in march or something. And got invited for an interview in june/july there were soooo many people there! Apparently 63 people had been invited for the interview process and only 18 places were available.. Eek!! (safe to say i pooed my pants when i heard that)
The first stage of the interview was a skills test wich was to put rollers in a manicans hair. I rocked it btw :D i got 1s in all the areas that gave me the boost i needed. :)
Then stage 2 was a written part wich was similar to filling out a job application i pretty much filled the box for every question and spilled over on some. So that went pretty well too.
Finally stage three was The Interview, It took forever for the tutors to get through so many applicants but 3rd to last i was interviewed. We talked about why i wanted to do hairdressing, if there was anyone who was pushing me towards it, what i can bring to the college etc just like a job interview but for college. I basically just said ive always had an interest in hairdressing i want to go on to own my own chain of salons and my own products. Ive applied before and will keep applying until im accepted and that im mainly doing it because its my dream but also so i can give my children the life i want to and im not going to sit around and wait for someone to hand it to me.
So that was pretty much the interview proccess done and then it was just a case of waiting to see if i got in. I was waiting for a couple of weeks and just thought i havnt got it there were so many applicants ive got no chance... A letter came from the college saying that they would like to offer me a place and i literally started jumping and singing mummys goin to coll-ege mummys goin to coll-ege na na na na Hay! Then connor joined in and it was a joyus moment to say the least!! :)
The next step was to reply to say if i accepted the place or not. So i signed in all the right places and hand delivered it so i knew it wouldnt get lost in the post. I didnt hear anything for a while and started to worry it was lost in the college but a quick phone call to the college set me straight. shortly after i recieved a letter for my induction date for september and the information to buy my kit and uniform. The kit costs around £113  & the uniform £44. Thats alot of money in my book but as my sister said its an investment in my future so i bought my kit wich will be delivered to the college and some extra clips and a brush set.

Cause theyre pink!! :D i also got myself some shoes from asda and have yet to buy my uniform but should be able to order that this week. I am soooooooo freaking excited the first step into my dreams has begun!!

Heres a picture of my brushes, clips and shoes will be sure to update when i get my hands on that kit and uniform :D eeeeeek :)

Have you started any prep for college or a new job?

Tell me about it in the comments id love to hear whats going on in your new academic year :)

Children = Mayhem.

Hey so my little boy Connor is 3 years old now and my little girl Lily-Grace is almost 10 months. The shinanigans the two of them get up to is just crazy they are like little torneados destroying everything in their path. Today Connor filled yhr toilet with bath toys! And when i asked him why he said... 'a bit of fun'. Now im not being funny but what on earth goes through a childs mind to make them think the toys wouldnt end up in the bin after. If hes pulling stunts like this now i am dreading the teenage years!! I really wish i'd of taken a photo it was rather amusing 'til i had to fish them all out. Alls i can say is thank the Lord for rubber gloves and that it had been flushed already!!

I know not to go crazy at him because i remember doing crazy things like that when i was younger just for 'a bit of fun' lol

A few other incidents have included the good old teepeeing of the upstairs bedrooms, throwing globs of wet sand at the walls of the outside of the house or 'decorating' as Connor likes to say. When i was visiting my bestie in belfast my Goddaughter and Connor decided to decorate the inside of Jades (the bestie) car with a sharpie and mascara. Including the steering wheel and windows. Then of course there was the time my Goddaughter plastered herself and the contents of her mothers living room in sudocrem. And the talc number too.
Its rather amusing when you first see it and you know they must of had a ball, little monkeys. But the clean up after is a pain in the bootie. I suppose its their way of keeping us fit lol anyway thats just a few of the shinanigans that stick out i suppose ive got round two coming when Lily-Grace is old enough for mischeif. In the meantime ill be happy to just watch Connor express his inner monkey.

Every toy he could possibly find i think...

Here are two seperate occasions of when i've been cleaning in the kitchen and come back in.

Connor did this to her with his pan au chocolat.

Thanks for reading. If your little one or any little ones you know have caused a similar sort of mayhem tell me about it in the comments below. Kids are so funny. Id love to hear your 'exercise regimes' ;)

Home Alone... Day 2 Sainsburys Online Shopping

DAY 2 in the big Mother house: - Hana is blogging!

Not much happened today rearranged the living room so now its impossible to watch tv comfortably... damn you crazy layout!! Tidied up abit and waited for my dad to come round as hes up visiting from DAT london. Went for a walk through the park (Birkenhead) which by the way is what central park in america is inspired by... so there ya go now Birkneheads not all bad :)

Birkenhead                            New York

Boathouse Birkenhead Park (images from google)

After my walk i came home and awaited the arrival of my sainsburys shopping... Never shopped online with them before but i was rather impressed. After a trip to london last week i received a voucher for £15 off my first £60 shop so i thought why not give it a go. Not only did it arrive in the first 10 minutes of the time slot (maybe even sooner) the man who delivered recognised it was my first time shopping with them and explained how it works before he got me my shopping he showed me my substitutions explained where my shopping had come from and that if i wasnt happy with anything just to give them a call after he had made sure i was happy with everything at the door.

There were a few things i noticed asda do better, like when they give you a substitute they give you whatever it is for the same price and they're delivery is generally cheaper. That being said Asda take alot longer to deliver within the timeslot most of the time turning up closest to the end of the timeslot. And i definatly would say sainsburys has a higher quality of food. The ordering of the food was pretty easy too. Different to Asda and Tesco but still easy to use. Over all i was pleased with the service and will probably shop online there again soon.

Is there any online grocery stores you swear by? Or any you've had an awful experience with? Let me know by leaving a comment below.

So that pretty much concludes my day now time for some cheeky Bs (my own concoxtion) consisting of WKD blue and Buckfast Tonic Wine :D

P.s Im so lonely without my bambinos!!

Thanks for reading and be sure to leave me a comment :) Hana xX

Home Alone... Day 1

Hello there friend :)
I am alone for a whole week!! The bambinos have gone off to the caravan in wales with ther nan and granderand. So im left twiddling my thumbs and i seriously am bored and do not know what to do with myself. I woke up around 12 in the afternoon after going to bed at around 1am probably the longest sleep ive had in the three years my lovely babies have been on this earth. im not sure if my bodies trying to catch up for the last three years or if im ill but i have slept like the dead for the last 3-4 days. It's just not like me at all! i also still feel pooped and feel abit car sick even though i havnt been in a car today hmm confused face o_O.

Anyhoo so yeh i got up got myself dressed... i say dressed i just threw on some clothes an put my hair up. Then at half 12 i walked up the street and round the corner to view a flat for my lovely sister who is moving up from london in a week woohooooo :) so the flat wasnt great but yakno these things need to be seen to be sure. The estate agent i think his name was Lewis... maybe thats someone else i dont know. but anyway he actually ended up showing me 3 flats because the whole building was empty... kind of creepy really but the first two were no use anyway because they were one beds and just wernt that great really. The last flat he showed me was wayyyy up at the top of the tower, ok so it wasnt in a tower but it was in the attic/roofspace. I was really dissapointed to be honest it was so dirty and dusty and just no way to show off to potential tennants. Ill insert some pictures here...

Ok so the pictures dont look awful and its not the worst place ive seen but even still it was dirty and i mean D.I.R.T.Y.

After viewing the flat(s) i got home at about 1.30 had something to eat watched some youtubers and cleaned my living room carpet it was abit crazy at first because i didnt have a clue what i was doing but i got the hang of it. i used the VAX powermax carpet washer it was surprisingly easy and now my carpet smells great. It took around 20 minutes for the whole process wich included putting the water and washing fluid in and then soaking the carpet and sucking up all the minging water. so its about 9pm now and my carpets dry, smells great and has its original colour back... tbh there wasnt much change in the colour anyway because its a brown carpet but it looks fresh anyway :)

When i finished doing that i got into bed and continued to feel sorry for myself because im all alone in the world and feel ill. I carried on watching youtube and then decided to blog because i have been neglecting you! I am now going to go do some work on a blog all about living with my sons right hemeplegia/ cerebral palsy. how we discoverd it, how it affects him, what treatment he gets and so on and so forth it wont be up straight away because there is ALOT to talk about but look out for it in a few weeks and ill be sure to update as much as i can this week what im upto while im home alone.

Thanks for reading and dont forget to leave a comment. love to hear from you. Hana xX
